Do you know how Movistar prepaid cards work?
The Movistar SIM Prepaid Card is activated with the first call. After activation, you will receive a welcome SMS.
From that moment, the SIM card is valid for 4 months. The validity period is renewed every time you recharge your balance.
If you do not recharge within 4 months, your balance expires. However, you can recover it by recharging within the next 40 days.
If you run out of credit or your card expires, you will still be able to receive calls for 40 days and SMS messages for 54 days. During this period, you will not be able to make calls, send messages, or use mobile internet unless you have an active option that allows it.
If you do not recharge within 54 days after expiration, the prepaid card will be permanently canceled and you will lose your phone number.
